The Central Coast Medical Association (CCMA) is a professional association of physicians throughout San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties.  We are a component society of the California Medical Association (CMA) and are affiliated with the American Medical Association (AMA).  The CCMA represents more than 600 physicians and together we continue to address the health needs of our community. 

Virtual Physician Counseling Services

As the demands on physicians continue increasing, the Central Coast Medical Association (CCMA) is providing access to up to four (4) anonymous and cost-free virtual counseling sessions with vetted psychologists or life coaches to all CCMA regular active and resident physician members.


To schedule an appointment, contact a Vetted Provider directly, and let them know that you are accessing the Physician Wellness Program and are a member of CCMA.


**Any late cancellations or missed appointments are the financial responsibility of the physician.


If you are having trouble getting in touch with a provider or getting an appointment, report issues anonymously here. 

Counseling Options

Counseling looks different to everyone. Below are just some of the options.

Physicians are eligible for up to four (4) life time sessions with a vetted provider.

You might be going through a transition at work or home and want to prepare for the challenges ahead.

Life Prioritizing/Organizing

3-4 Sessions

It's been awhile since you sat down and did some organizing and planning in your life. Set yourself up for a great year of success. 

Self-Discovery/Trauma

4+ Sessions

There is more to uncover and you are interested in getting to the root. Consider continuing your sessions after the sponsored four. 

Client must pay out of pocket or through insurance for counseling exceeding four (4) life time sessions.
